Dr. Jim Kuhn has been in practice for almost 33 years, and is known for his caring manner and careful, patient-centered medical approach. Consistently listed in online patient feedback reports as a top podiatrist in the Kansas City Metro area, Dr. Kuhn treats a variety of foot disorders and specializes in diabetic care and surgical procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and accepts most insurance plans.
A graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (Now Temple Medical School), Dr. Kuhn completed his surgical residency training at Metropolitan Springfield Hospital near Philadelphia, where he received the “Best Surgical Resident” award. He began his college career at SUNY at Buffalo, in New York as an engineering major, but realized that medicine was for him and ultimately obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Kuhn is married to his high school sweetheart and has two children. He enjoys traveling, hiking and skiing and is an avid photographer whose photos grace his office walls. He has a photography website Kuhnphotos.com and has published a book of photography called ‘The Art of God’. He is also enjoys Obstacle Course Racing and has participated in the World Championships several times in his age group.
He is active in his church, and enjoys working out when he can find the time.
